| The Elko Express baseball tradition boasts a long and proud history of baseball excellence and promoting the game of baseball in our area. The Express play in the DRS Adult Baseball league and recently won their first State Championship in 2008.
Many former Lakeville players have contributed to the success and tradition of Elko Express baseball. There has been a long history of partnership between the Elko Baseball Club and baseball in the Lakeville community. Behind the scenes, the Elko Baseball Club has been one of the largest financial supporters of Lakeville Baseball, helping many of the kids in our community. In addition to financial support, the Elko Baseball Club has given many players in our community the opportunity to play on one of the nicest baseball fields in the State of Minnesota, Fredrickson Field in Elko. The Elko Baseball Club has generously donated the use of Fredrickson Field to many LBA & LSBA teams in the past several years.
For families in our community that enjoy great baseball in a beautiful stadium, many do not realize that it is not just the MN Twins and St Paul Saints that can provide great family baseball entertainment. The Elko Express play a full summer schedule just a few short miles down the road in a very competitive league full of great baseball players. Many of the players that play on these teams are former high school and college all-stars that want to continue their baseball careers in a competitive environment. All members of the Lakeville community are welcome to come down to Elko any time to enjoy a great game, a ball park frank and a cool beverage.
