There are several different options for baseball players in our community. The Lakeville South Baseball Association currently administers only the South Junior Legion and American Legion teams within the South Baseball Community. All other registrations are not part of LSBA, although we will try to outline the options below for your convenience,
IMPORTANT - ISD 194 school baseball is different than summer baseball and is a completely different registration process. Players that wish to participate in school sponsored baseball in the spring must register and pay the school district and not any other organization.
LSBA WILL NOT sponsor a Senior Babe team this year unless registrations exceed expectations greatly.
15 Year Old (Freshmen)
School Baseball in the spring (Typically have a 9A & 9B team)

LBA Baseball in the summer
Choices typically are tryout for 15AAA or 15AA team or play on a 14/15A team.

16 Year Old (Sophomore)
ISD 194 School baseball in the spring (Typically may play on any team from Sophomore, JV or Varsity)

LSBA Baseball in the summer - Junior Legion Team (Some may be on Senior Babe team)
This is a team selected by the LSBA Coaches and is primarily made up of 16 year old sophomores.

LBA Baseball in the summer
LBA sponsors an MBL League 16-18U program and also a "Community League" in the summer. These teams are typically formed in May and registration can be done with LBA up until then. Players that are not selected for the Junior Legion or American Legion team are encouraged to play in this league.

17-18 Year Olds (Juniors & Seniors)
ISD194 Baseball in the spring (Typically may play on JV or Varsity teams)

LSBA Baseball in the summer - American Legion Team
This is a team selected by the LSBA Coaches and is primarily made up of Juniors and Seniors from the school season.

LBA Baseball in the summer
LBA sponsors a 16-18U league in the summer. These teams are typically formed in May and registration with LBA can be done until then. Players that are not selected for the American Legion team are encouraged to play in this league. LBA has committed that they will not charge late fees for those players that do not make a Junior Legion, Senior Babe or American Legion team and want to participate in this league if they sign up by May 15.
